Yesterday I wrote about finding Lola. She came to live with us in a foster-to-adopt situation a few days after we met her. Here are a few shots from her first few days with us.
We kept her on leash around the cats for a little while, but soon discovered that she has no chase instinct, so we let her go free and she quickly learned her place in the pack (Lindsey is the alpha).
Love puffy Lindsay and the sly look from Lola. The funny thing is that when we were growing up, we didn't even consider that our pets wouldn't get along...they just showed up. Like when our new puppy met our cats and they got all puffy...they just had to deal with it. Maybe that's why relationships were more like coyote and roadrunner back in the day.
HA! I kept Zoe and the cats separated for a few weeks and slowly introduced them. You're lucky that Lola has no chase drive. Zoe doesn't want to eat the cats, but she does want to chase them in order to pin them to the ground and smell their butts. Lovely. :)
Another thing I love about this post? Old school Project Runway in the background?? :)
