We have updates to two previous challenges, one good and one not so good.
We'll get the bad out of the way first. A few months ago I thought I had solved the tubshitter situation. We got a good few weeks of appropriate pooping, and then someone relapsed. Whoever is doing the deed is at least pooping ON the chair mats, so clean up is easy. I'm currently trying two things:
- Foil. Over the chair mats, crinkled up so it's really noisy and scary.
- Nature's Miracle Pet Block
I wish I knew who the culprit was!
The positive update is about Lola the toy destroyer. The gift pack of holiday toys is still alive!

I watch both dogs when they're playing with the stuffies, and correct when they start tugging and biting hard. I also check the toys regularly and mend any little tears. And I make sure that the toy is never in the middle of a game of tug. Even though Lola sometimes lets Franklin win, the toy never wins.
Hello!!! Found you thru Two Pitties in the City. I have a suggestion for identifying thevwrongful pooper as I had a similar situation. Consistenty chop a carrot into the same dogs food. Trust me, if it's them they'll leave evidence behind in their poop!!! Good luck, your poochs are adorable!
ReplyDeleteWelcome Antoinette! The cats are the pooping culprits, not the dogs. I don't think they like carrots!
DeleteI wish Badger could play appropriately with stuffies. =/
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss the tub shitting update!? I think I've told you that Stella has been wont to poop in inappropriate places. Have you tried switching up the litter or adding another litterbox? (I'm sorry if you told me this answer and I forgot!).
ReplyDeleteWe've tried a few kinds of litter, and an additional box. No luck. The foil and the spray, when used consistently seem to work. Although it's such a shame to have foil all over the pretty new bathroom.
