It'll grow out. Really.

It was haircut weekend for Franklin, and this time I took "formal" before and afters.

He's so darn cute when he's shaggy. But his fur gets matted and dirty and he must be hot. So he gets haircuts. And he is soft and snuggly when shorn, but so much less adorable.

He does have all those cute spots tho, that you don't see when shaggy.

It's a rough two-weeks post grooming. We bank on the fact that Franklin doesn't understand the actual words we use, and doesn't understand the phrase "he'll be cute again soon".  He will be. In about 3 weeks.

  1. He looks so silky in the second photo, and I do love his 'feather-duster tail'. I guess I'm lucky we don't have dogs who need grooming...I can barely get myself to a haircut appointment.

    1. He's SO silky. I've learned to book his next appointment when I pick him up (most of the time). On the plus side, he doesn't shed. Everyone else does, so the house is a fur pit, but not Franklin.

  2. Franklin is adorable no matter whether he is shaggy or smooth, but that said, we do have a weakness for the shaggy pups!

  3. Aww, the smooth Franklin is adorable too (although less muppet-like).

  4. I kinda like his shaggy look - but I totally understand why you have to cut it. If I was walking around in a sweater during a Chicago summer - I'd like someone to make it a bit less heavy for me! :)

  6. Aww! Haha, poor Frankin. At least you are kind and don't totally shave him down like some people do!
